La Perla del Otún se ha caracterizado a lo largo del tiempo por sus numerosas rutas que nos permiten a los ciclistas explorar diferentes caminos, sabores, olores y panoramas que nos dejan una enriquecedora experiencia. A continuación te enseñaremos algunas rutas emblemáticas del ciclismo en Pereira:
La Florida (12 Km)
Esta ruta obtuvo mucha popularidad por ser el punto de convergencia para acceder a muchas más rutas de diferentes niveles de dificultad, y es una de las zonas rurales más turísticas y activas por el alto tránsito de ciclistas. Gracias a esta ruta, el ciclismo se convirtió en el diario vivir y en la pasión de muchos pereiranos y pereiranas, pues con esta ruta la gente comenzó a practicar mucho más bici.
Al ser un emblema y patrimonio del ciclismo pereirano, se creó una cultura de consumir diferentes platos típicos al culminar la ruta, tales como la torta de trucha, sopas de pescado, arepas de queso y batidos.
Santa Rosa (15.3Km)
Es la ruta de mayor acceso para los ciclistas de Dosquebradas, y es ideal para ruta o montaña, con un buen nivel de exigencia para mejorar cada vez más.
El ritual más común al momento de hacer esta ruta es llegar al Alto de Boquerón y como recompensa disfrutar de un refrescante jugo de naranja, sin embargo, debido a la impredecibilidad del clima, la bebida puede variar.
Posteriormente, se culmina la ruta llegando a un pueblo con una gastronomía muy destacada en un plato en específico, los chorizos. Además de eso se puede hacer un tour para conocer cada rincón santarrosano y conservar un buen recuerdo de allá.
El Manzano (22Km)
El manzano tiene como atributo principal su natural y auténtico panorama, es la locación ideal para todo tipo de fotografías. Esta ruta es una zona de reserva natural, llena de diversidad y de un clima perfecto para rodar, es por eso que ofrece un espacio de mucha tranquilidad, paz y armonía natural al momento de hacerla.
Al igual que las demás rutas, se disfruta de una costumbre popular muy arraigada que es disfrutar de unos desayunos emblemáticos y característicos, específicamente de un lugar muy popular llamado ‘La Colombianita’.
La Virginia (34Km)
Es una ruta semiplana que brinda mucha versatilidad ya que nos permite tener la opción de recorrerla en bici de ruta o bici de montaña. Caracterizada por su clima, puesto que toda persona que ha recorrido esta ruta ha destacado el calor y el sol en ella.
Sin embargo, para combatir este pequeño factor, se acude a una zona muy estratégica y popular de la ruta llamada cerritos, donde las tiendas de frutas, en las cuales predomina la piña y sus variantes alivian las necesidades de los ciclistas.
Sabemos que para recorrer las mejores rutas de nuestro país es necesario tener las mejores prendas.
